Completed Preliminary Barnard applications to study abroad for the Spring 2024 semester are currently under review. Each application is reviewed individually by Barnard Global staff and students receive an email once their application status is updated. If any additional follow up information is needed, it will be requested via email. Please do not follow up with Barnard Global regarding the status of your application unless there is a relevant update to the application information you previously submitted (i.e. you have since renewed your passport).

The most common reasons an application status cannot be updated are:
-the passport information submitted indicates it will expire sooner than 6 months beyond the program end date
-the advisor approval questionnaire has not been submitted by the student's major/pre-major advisor
-the Preliminary Course Worksheet was not submitted in Slate

Any of the reasons above will cause the application to remain in "pending" status until the issue noted is resolved.
